Two teens who went missing at the beginning of the week have been located. 16-year old Brody and 14-year-old Melody.

The Make Over of Main Street in North Bay resumes on Monday. Plans are in place to deploy two construction crews to complete both Block 3, at Ferguson Street from Main Street to Oak Street, and Block 2, from Ferguson Street to Fraser Street.

The Canadian Mental Health Association in the Nipissing area says it will try a “campus” model to improve physical access to mental health and addiction care in North Bay. This involves a two-phase relocation to 194 Main St. West.

Meanwhile, with government funding announced last summer, the new Transition Home in a former school on Wilcox Street in Timmins has officially opened.

In Sault Ste Maire, a study is underway aimed at finding ways to share services between city hall and city police. The recommendation is to consolidate police and fire dispatch services.

On Manitoulin Island, council for the Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands approved the purchase of Little Wally’s Dock Service from Robert Little who has successfully operated the business on the Little Current water-front for many years.

And despite this week’s snowfall, spring isn’t far off, and City of Greater Sudbury staff in the midst of preparing outdoor pickleball courts. Nets will be installed at remaining outdoor tennis and pickleball courts in the coming weeks… as for baseball diamonds and soccer pitches… those are still a little far afield.

There’s a new kid in town…. FlixBus. A U.S.-based intercity bus service, it’s launched new service to Sudbury. All to grow the company growing footprint the hope is to provide service to a number of a Major cities in the Province.
