
A rejected housing development in Sudbury has been given the go-ahead in a tribunal settlement. A three-storey, 10-unit multiple dwelling at 1389 Stephen St. was rejected by the city’s planning committee last year, which was partially reversed via an Ontario Land Tribunal settlement, which allows a two-storey build with eight units.

Sudbury Council has pulled a swath of Azilda land from affordable housing plans, at least for now. A 9-3 vote of city council halted a piece of property in the 200 block of Montée Principale for use as future affordable housing until at least such time as construction has commenced on an aquatic facility in the community.
