An international program helping students who require additional support prepare for the workforce is now in its second year. At Pioneer Manor, it’s all thanks to community partnerships.

A new pier is coming to Callander’s Centennial Park, with installation expected to be completed by mid-November. The new pier replaces the park’s previous dock, which was severely damaged in a storm in April of last year.

In Porcupine, the former Whitney Fire Hall is on its ways to being transformed into an apartment building. The zoning for the property has been changed to residential, which allows the move to a two-storey, six-unit apartment building.

Sault Ste. Marie Police are looking for a teen who was reported missing. Gabriel Maj was last seen at around 10:30 a.m. yesterday on Dennis Street. The 14-year-old had been wearing black and white Nike shoes, a purple and grey sweater, a black hooded jacket, cargo pants and a black backpack.
