Sudbury City council has given the OK to an advanced left-turn signal. It’s on MR 80 at Courtemanche St. This is the latest in a series of advanced left-turn signals to move forward. There were 28 collisions at the intersection from 2020-25.

A new commercial air route linking North Bay directly with downtown Toronto has launched with the inaugural flight departing from the  Jack Garland Airport. Propair, a Quebec-based regional carrier runs five days per week to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

A transformer will be moving down Schumacher streets starting tomorrow. Hydro One is moving a transformer from Hallnor Road to the transformer station on Brundy Avenue in Schumacher. The move is expected to start around 9 a.m.

Sault Ste. Marie police are advising the public that the Collision Reporting Centre, located at 180 Brock Street, will be temporarily closed starting this morning. While the reason for the closure is immediately clear, it will reopen at 12 p.m.

The Algoma District School Board Thessalon Public School is closed following a series of leaks on a large area of the roof. That is the primary building  which houses two classrooms and the Child Care Algoma daycare.  Students are relocating.
