Fire ban remains in place for North Bay

More fire bans continue to spark up across the North. Now, all burning permits in Johnson Township outside of Sault Ste. Mare are suspended for the time being.  Yesterday, the municipality of Huron Shores also announced a fire ban.
Meanwhile, North Bay Fire says they’re ban continues. Randy Veznia is the captain of fire prevention, and says the ban is in place because of the dry organic material left over from the winter season.

Veznia says that means no recreational open burning, no fires for cooking or warmth AND …no fireworks.
