Dock replacement to go before city council

Timmins Police say they’re cautiously optimistic moving into April after a drop in impaired driving numbers. Between January and March, a total of four persons have been charged with impaired driving. That’s down from eight persons charged for the same time frame in 2017 and ten people charged in 2018. Sault Ste Marie City Council is being asked to move ahead with much-needed dock replacement. Councillors will be asked tonight to immediately award the finger-dock replacement job to a Quebec contractor without calling for tenders.
