Tax increase on the way in  2021

Greater Sudbury City council says 2021 budget discussions have begun, and a tax hike is on the way. At this week’s finance committee meeting recommend a maximum 3.9 per cent property tax increase “Over 2020 taxation levels, in accordance with the long-term financial plan.” Staff also recommended an increase of 4.8 per cent for water/wastewater rates.
