Ontario is reporting a grim marker today, as the province reports the highest daily COVID-19 case count since the beginning of the pandemic. Health officials reported 700 new infections on Monday, breaking the previous high of 624 cases on April 24.
Meanwhile, Public Health Sudbury & Districts has announced one new COVID-19 case locally. This latest case, in a person who is from Greater Sudbury, is travel-related, said the health unit. The person was tested Sept. 26 and is self-isolating.
