John 20:27 “Stop doubting and believe”

John 20:27 says this “Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

Jesus has just risen from the dead and Thomas –the only one who hasn’t seen him– says that unless he does these two things, he will not believe. Jesus is kind, appearing to his followers, he gives Thomas that chance. Thomas’ doubts evaporate forever and instead of taking Jesus up on the offer, a profession of faith: My Lord and my God. When we doubt, let’s remember the same Jesus
