Speed reduction gets the go ahead from council

The bylaw limiting the speed limit on Main Street in Sundridge will take effect on Sept. 8. The maximum speed limit will move to 40 km/h from the present 50 km/h. The final version of the speed bylaw for the council to approve. Once in place, the bylaw will cover a distance of about two kilometers from where Main Street meets Union Street at the east end to Albert Street at the west end.
