Power outaged sends students home early

A power outage today caused the early dismissal of schools in the Almaguin region. The Near North District School Board says four schools in all were affected. They include Almaguin Highlands Secondary School, Land of Lakes Public School, Magnetawan Central Public School, and Sundridge Centennial Public School. Families were asked to make arrangements to pick up their children. A downed ‘tree on the line’ was said to be the cause with crews working on the issue.
