How and were to spend almost $1 million? Council discusses

North Bay City Councillors will now examine how and where to use of the city’s share of the Municipal Accommodation Tax. The idea of implementing a four per cent accommodation tax was initially presented to city council in 2018, and nearly $1 million was collected in its first year. Some on council say the primary focus should remain tourism-related and the money should go to infrastructure, trails, community centres, and waterfront development.
