29-year-old arrested after theft, assault

A 29-year-old from Sault Ste Marie will have his day in court after allegedly assaulting a security guard. It happened at a business in the 200 block of McNabb Street when he was stopped trying to take $145 worth of merchandise from the business. His court date is Nov. 30.
