North Bay will hold off passing budget until 2021

North Bay council will delay the passing of its 2021 budget until the near year. This is after learn a system glitch on the part of the WSIB has created a more than $800,000 shortfall. Council was prepared to approve a levy of nearly $97 million — an increase of more than $3.1 million or 3.36 per cent. But now, that levy could be just over 4.2 per cent. Council now aims at passing the budget Jan. 12th, 2021.
