Cambrian College says to meet the growing demand for mental health care professionals, they’re introducing a new, one-of-a-kind, degree-level program. Beginning in September of 2025, Cambrian is offering a four-year Honours Bachelor of Applied Psychology.

Timmins Police continue their search for a missing teen. 16-year-old Naijah Ashton. He is described as a male with Curly brown hair, Brown eyes, 6’3 / 130 lbs and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a plain white T-shirt, grey jogging pants and no shoes.

Greater Sudbury Hydro is alerting residents and businesses in Copper Cliff about a power outage. It will take place from 12:30 a.m. until 4:30 a.m. Oct. 11. The outage will affect 1,245 customers in the area.

Timmins City Hall has released some new drone footage of work being done on the connecting link along Algonquin Blvd. The report shows that storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water main installation is ongoing at the furthest part of the zone, up to Brunette Rd along with good progress on the new bridge over the Porcupine River on Frederickhouse Rd. at Hoyle.

Sault Ste. Marie has hired a new road-line painter. A company from Port Perry, near Oshawa, has won the contract for the next three years.

Health Canada has added two new radiological monitoring stations at SNOLAB’s surface facility at Creighton Mine in Lively. They are additions to the Radiation Protection Bureau (RPB) of Health Canada’s environmental radiation monitoring program.

Parking at Northgate Shopping Centre in North Bay may be tougher to find in the next few weeks, as a large portion of the parking lot at North Bay’s largest mall is getting repaved. The project will begin Monday Oct. 7th

Sault Ste Marie drivers…. slow down Wallace Terrace. You’ll have to. This is as the city has changed the speed limit between Korah Road and Allen Side Road. This follows a recommendation of the Wallace Terrace environmental assessment. It’s going to be going from 60 km/hr to 50 km/hr.
