Greater Sudbury has sold a lot to Habitat for Humanity for $5. They will transfer a vacant Melvin Avenue property as part of its land bank strategy. The home, designated for a veteran’s family, is near a park and bus stops. Construction is expected within the year.

Hydro One is planning a six hour outage on Sunday, June 22 for the 6 Northeast Zone. That includes Elliot Lake. The utility is scheduled to cut the power at 9 a.m. that day, with an expected restoration time of 3 p.m.
