For the next two weeks or so, workers will burn infested wood from a historic barn to fight the wood-boring beetle infestation at Anderson Farm.

Greater Sudbury Fire Services are being thanked after two people were pulled from the waters of Moonlight Beach. It happened over the weekend. It involved a swimmer and a kayaker. No further information on the two is being released.

Minister of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security, Nolan Quinn has wrapped up a visit to Algoma

University in SSM where he met with university leadership. The visit featured guided tours of two of the University’s research facilities.

The Ontario government is providing $12.6 million in funding to upgrade recreation facilities across northeastern Ontario. The largest share – $10 million – is going toward Greater Sudbury’s long-awaited Valley East Twin-Pad Multipurpose Sports Complex.

The City of North Bay is investigating an incident involving falling drones after cancelling a public light display due to unsafe weather conditions. It happened Friday. Two more shows are scheduled for August.

Sault Ste. Marie Police Service says a previously missing teen has been found in good health. Taytyn Wochy had been missing. He has been located safe and sound.
