Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for areas in and around Timmins, Cochrane and Iroquois Falls.

Major winter storm with heavy snow and blowing snow is expected. Total snowfall amounts of 25 to 45 cm with higher amounts possible. Significantly reduced visibility, to near zero at times, in heavy snow and blowing snow. Police have issued a travel warning ahead of the storm.
