Impaired driving charges laid following accident

A 66-year-old Powassan man is facing impaired driving charges. It began with a collision on Highway 11 at Highway 522. Reports say that the vehicle hit a rock cut when it left the road causing extensive damage to it. The driver was taken to the hospital in North Bay by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
