22 year old gets jail term for accidentally firing off gun

A North Bay man who accidentally fired a .22-calibre bullet into a neighbour’s bedroom will spend the next two years less a day in prison. It was on April 4 during the early morning hours when a gun he was holding went off sending a bullet careening through the wall only to get lodged in the bedroom wall of a neighbour’s apartment just above the headboard of her bed.

The Justice says that the prison sentence was to “send a message” that every gun should be treated like it’s loaded.
