Fire Bans remain in Place

A number of Fire Bans remain in place. East Ferris, West Nipissing, Mattawa, Sundridge and North Bay are a number of areas effected. By late afternoon, there were twenty nine active forest fires across the Northeast. 5 of those are in the North Bay area. Meanwhile. three new fires were confirmed in the Sudbury area. The largest of which is  Sudbury 40 measures 2.3 hectares. It is located east of Dougherty Lake, northeast of Capreol. Residents are urged, if they do participate in burning, to do so with great care.
