Fatal fire under investigation

One person is dead, and another person is injured following a structure fire in Greater Sudbury. It happened on Lloyd Street over the weekend. Three units sent 16 firefighters, along with police and paramedics, responded to the call. The fire has since been extinguished, however the investigation into what caused the fire is still underway.

100k awarded to University’s refugee’s project

Nipissing University has been awarded a sizable grant. $100,000 all going toward a refugee project. The school says that a Grand Challenges Canada grant will, among other things, go toward helping improve maternal, newborn and child health
