Fire destroys a Windy Lake location

An early morning fire yesterday at a remote location on Windy Lake in Greater Sudbury has destroyed a camp. Fire crews from Levack, Dowling, Chelmsford and downtown responded to the call for help, called in at around 6:45 a.m. That said, by the time crews arrived, the property had been destroyed. Firefighters performed exposure protection on surrounding buildings and nearby bush to keep the fire contained. No damage estimate was provided.
