Sudbury Mayor wants to set up a “Northern Ontario Bubble”

Sudbury Mayor Brian Bigger says he will be asking the Province to set up highway checkpoints to ensure essential travel to and from Northern Ontario. This is all in the wake of recent two COVID-19 deaths over the weekend, a concern about virus variants and one of worst outbreaks in the country at a long-term care home in Barrie. Bigger says he wants to create a bubbly by stopping all “casual travel” and is asking residents to “discourage anyone from coming north.”
