Some LU students looking for a pass on tuition

The Laurentian University Graduate Students’ Association is asking the university waive its members’ tuition fees for the spring/summer semester. Thus far a group of about 1,000 members and almost 300 signed a petition asking for tuition fees to be waived.

Two in custody following a manhunt

Two people in custody following an arrest in the James Street area of Timmins around 5:45 pm yesterday. One of them is the 19-year-old man from Toronto wanted for unspecified serious offences. A young offender is also in custody.
