Cases of COVID-19 surge in Greater Sudbury and area

Public Health Sudbury & Districts has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School. Three people have now tested positive for the virus, one of whom has screened positive for variants of concern. The school will remain closed up to and including March 5.

Meanwhile, Public Health Sudbury & Districts is sounding the alarm, reporting a surge in new COVID-19 cases, including a dozen new cases yesterday and 32 new cases Monday. Dr. Penny Sutcliffe with the Medical Officer for health and says variants of the virus are of chief concern.
