Discussions on arenas continue in the north

Conversations around arenas continue to skate their way into City Council Agendas. While North Bay has yet to decide on where they’re going to place a new arena to replace the aging West Ferris Arena, Sudbury City council says they’re looking this week at proposals tonight to close three rinks in Greater Sudbury: one of the two ice pads in Capreol; the Centennial Arena in Hanmer; and one in Val Caron. In their place, a new arena would be built in Valley East with two ice pads at a cost of roughly $24 million.
