Driver stopped using a spike belt on highway 64

A spike belt was used in part to bring a high-speed chase to an end, and now a 32-year-old is facing an arms lenth of charges. It started when West Nipissing OPP observed a vehicle on Highway 64 south, travelling at high rates of speed. OPP says the driver then attempted to leave the scene causing the vehicle to collide with a police cruiser. The belt was deployed, the driver was stopped and was taken into custody.
