Elliot Lake hoping to run old water lines out of town

Elliot Lake City Council is putting their full approval to a plan to move aging sewer and water lines out of the city. The Director of Public Works had asked the council to commit nearly half a million dollars to attract a Canada Infrastructure Program Green Stream grant. If it goes ahead it would see new water and sewer lines in the North Industrial area on Timber Road. The city’s share is projected to be up to $480,000, or 26.67 percent.
