HSN putting measures in place in response to rising COVID-19 cases
Health Sciences North (HSN) is putting temporary measures to address what they call over-occupancy levels and sustain critical and acute care services. Evidently, they’re not alone. Algoma, Sudbury and Timiskaming public health unit areas are all seeing record numbers of active cases of COVID-19. Effective immediately, HSN is closed to acute care referrals from other hospitals for one week. HSN will work with referring hospitals to find alternatives to HSN for non-life and limb referrals.
Patients will be redirected to other hospitals within the North East and outside the region
