Luke 10:42 “Mary has chosen what is better”

Luke 10:42 says this “But few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Jesus is visiting the home of his good friends, Mary, Martha and Lazarus. Martha is concerned because things in the house are not as they should be. The cooking is on, the cleaning needs doing and Mary is just sitting at Jesus feet listening. Martha demands the Lord intervene, and this is Jesus’ response. He says what Mary has chosen it better, and it won’t be taken away. When we feel rushed lets
