An overdue fisherman has been rescued in Field. It happened early yesterday. This is after a 90-year-old man from Waterloo left his rental cottage at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday to go fishing and was reported missing at 9:30 pm after he failed to return. He was found the bottom of the rapids at Thistle Lake in Field. An OPP helicopter located the fisherman at 12:30 am in his boat and waving for help. The man was in good health but was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
