Online learning pushes school board into the red

The costs tied to running class online has pushed Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board into the red. While the English Catholic board passed a balanced budget of $79.9 million last August, additional staff needed for a number of schools has resulted in a deficit of just $291k. That said, the board is receiving $1.4 million from the provincial government and $900k to assisted.
