Ontario reports 797 cases of COVID-19 for Thursday, Oct 8

Ontario is reporting the highest number of new daily COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic. Health officials reported 797 new infections on Thursday, breaking the previous high of 732 new cases on Oct. 2.
