Power knocked out today in Sudbury and Sault Ste Marie

The power has been knocked out today, for a number of residents in the Flour Mill area of Greater Sudbury. Approximately 650 customers with the GSU have been affected. There is no estimated time of restoration available. The high winds in the area are currently being reported as the suspected cause. Meanwhile, PUC Services were knocked out for a time today in Sault Ste Marie. Unplanned power outages were reported across the city, including in the east end, the hilltop area, the P-Patch and, the Crimson Ridge area. High winds were said to be blowing through Northern Ontario today.
