PUC will pay $45,000 in fines improper reconnection fees given out

The PUC will pay $45,000 in fines and donations. This is after roughly 175 people were improperly charged reconnection fees. The Ontario energy board says PUC sent out disconnection notices that were based on an incorrect calculation of the earliest date disconnection, meaning customers were not given proper notice of disconnection.
