“It’s welcomed news as it will be a big help for our rural schools”. That’s coming from Near North Board Chair David Thompson on new funding for rural and Northern Ontario schools in the amount of $480,000 from the Province for the coming year. While a final decision on where exactly the money will be spent, Thompson told KFM NEWS today, the money is a “small drop in the grand scheme, but it will be well used”.
