North Bay Police arrested male following theft and altercation

North Bay Police have made the arrest of a 21-year-old on a number of charges following an alleged theft, an altercation. It happened at a retail store on Lakeshore Drive. It is alleged that the accused attended a retail store located in the 200-block area of Lakeshore Drive and taken several items without paying. He subsequently got into a dust-up with staff who tried to stop him. He was restrained until Police arrival. The accused remains in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse on February 14th, 2020.

Meanwhile,

Sault Ste Marie Police have laid charges for possession on a 51-year old for theft, and fraud. This is after the accused allegedly stole a wallet from a vehicle containing identity documents and bank cards. He then entered a vehicle and stole various items. When the accused was taken back to the police station it was learned he was wanted in connection to a theft that took place in October of last year.
