First case of COVID-19 in the North Bay Parry Sound District

The first positive confirmation of COVID-19 has been confirmed in North Bay Parry Sound District. While the exact location is not known, it is said to be a woman in her 60s that travelled to Egypt. After being diagnosed and released, she is self-isolating. As of news time today there are nearly 840 confirmed cases in Ontario.

Elsewhere in the Northern Ontario today,

Public Health Sudbury & Districts say there are two new cases in its district. The Porcupine Health Unit also reported two new cases as well.

By the numbers here in Northern Ontario, as early this afternoon, a total of 6 cases have been reported by Public Health Sudbury & Districts, 6 by the Porcupine Health Unit, 1 by the Timiskaming Health Unit, one by the Algoma Health Unit and one by the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit.
