Ontario Colleges… still on strike
College students say their now worried about the possibility of losing their semester as a strike by their teachers enters its third week. KFM NEWS was at Canadore College Yesterday, only to find a handful of international Students, who have no where to go. Woman charged after hitting “flag person”
A Sudbury woman is facing a careless driving charge after a flag person working on a road construction project. It happened in Whitefish just before the weekend. The worker was flown to HSN. He is stable condition. She will answer to careless driving charges.
Questions on ballots?
Yes or no. Evidently when it comes to next year’s municipal election in North Bay and Sudbury… Yes or no questions could appear on ballots. As for North Bay is expected to go to council this week. The move would require council to hold at least one public meeting before passing a bylaw.
Accidents leaves car turned over
Two Sault Ste. Marie commuters suffered non-life-threatening injuries when a pair of vehicles collided at Bay and Brock streets over the weekend. Reports say a Honda CR-V and Toyota Corolla smashed into one another overturning the CR-V while the Corolla left the road, popped the sidewalk and struck a sign. The investigation continues.
Two teens are missing
Greater Sudbury Police say they’re looking for a pair of missing teens. They say Kristen Labre-Danhier & Brayden Macmillan left their homes yesterday and have not been heard from since. Kristen is a 5’2″ 135lbs, with brown eyes and black hair with blond tips. She was last seen wearing: red PJ pants and a black top. Brayden is 5’11”, 110lbs with brown hair, brown eyes and last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, and white shoes with a green line.
