Hot and dry weather makes conditions challenging

Dry conditions, despite the recent rain fall continues to make conditions ideal for forest fires and difficult for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. A new report says that of yesterday, 66 active forest fires in the northeast region of Ontario, four of which are around in the Greater Sudbury region. Overall twenty-nine of these fires are not yet under control, while 37 are either being held, under control or being observed.
