North Bay city officials are telling those who cycle to “stay off the side walk”. That’s the message cyclists are getting in the downtown as part of an education campaign in response to safety concerns. Posters advising cyclists to stay off the sidewalk have gone up in the downtown over the past week, warning that the offence carries a $65 fine. Experts say that in all reality riding a bicycle on a side is ofter more dangerous than on a road way.
