Elliot lake man injured, faces charges

An Elliot Lake man who fled police will have his day in Sault Ste. Marie court. East Algoma OPP say that the police were conducting an arrest this week, when the male took off. Police located the male at a residence on Amsterdam Road, and determined that he had suffered an injury. He was then transported to hospital. The 44-year-old is facing a number of charges including robbery with theft; and break and enter. The SIU has since become involved in the investigation.
