Province lifts suspension on retirement facility

The province is lifting a suspension, placed on a retirement facility. Back in October of last year, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care ordered Extendicare Maple View in the Sault to stop accepting new residents. Inspectors with the ministry found the nursing home was not meeting certain regulations. The ban has been lifted the ban with some restrictions.
Details: Only one new resident is allowed to be admitted per day, and staff must work with the local health integration network to develop a plan to ensure all safety needs are met.
