Contract struck with Firefighters

The City of North Bay has a stuck a five-year contract with the North Bay Firefighters Association. It was announced at this week’s council meeting. The deal is retroactive to January 2015 and expires December 31st, 2020.
Details: It gives the 73 fire personnel a one per cent increase every six months. When the cumulative effect is taken into account, the wage increase works out to about 2.2 per cent annually.
