Two facing charges, following incidents of speeding, reckless driving

Sudbury OPP has a teen driver off the road for speeding. It happened on Highway 144 in Greater Sudbury and while they won’t say how fast he was going, he has been charged with going at least 50kph over the posted limit. The 17-year-old will have his day in court in May.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, a Sudbury Woman has been taken into custody in Hanmer. This was after she was reportedly seen driving in an erratic fashion, striking a bridge, another vehicle an almost a pedestrian. She was also seen running multiple red lights at a very high rate of speed. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of her actions. She later exited the car, was located in the Hanmer Mall, and arrested.
Details: Officers immediately attended the area in an attempt to locate the car and the driver. The vehicle was found abandoned on St. Anthony Street. A member of the K9 Unit attended the area in order to conduct a track. At the same time, Uniform Officers were patrolling the area, as well as, inside the Hanmer Mall. While tracking the woman, additional information was received that a person matching her description could be seen sleeping inside a store located in the mall. At 9:00 a.m. Officers attended the store and arrested a 31-year old woman. Once at Police Headquarters, the woman was given a breath test that she failed.
