The power is all but back on for Timmins and area after a power outage this morning. The lights went out at around 8:00 am affecting upwards of 20,000 people at its peak. Hydro one has since spoken with KFM news and says an equipment failure is to blame.
Meanwhile, the power is back of for a number of Sudbury residents dealing with a power outage. It happened this morning after a hydro pole was damaged after being struck by a backhoe. No residential customers are currently affected, but a number of businesses in the Coniston Industrial Park were without power.
