For those looking to get out and about this weekend, the Municipality of Callander has launched a free bike-share program this month for visitors and residents. All with the aim of promoting more cycling in the area. While there are a number of conditions, all on our webpage, the pilot program builds off of cycling sessions offered to Callander families in the spring and is part of an overall effort by the municipality to promote biking in the community.
The program will be evaluated once the pilot is over. Four bikes are available for rent at the Callander Bay Heritage Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., between Tuesdays and Saturdays, for those 18 years and older.
