Plenty from the Province today, when it comes the ongoing pandemic. First Public Health has confirmed 538 new COVID-19 cases today in the province, which is down from yesterday’s report.
Second, Ontario is changing its COVID-19 symptom screening guidance. Children with a runny nose OR a headache do not need a COVID-19 test, but simply kept home for 24 hours. If a child has both of those symptoms they are asked to consult a health-care provider or have a COVID-19 test before returning to school or child care.
Meanwhile the government will temporarily boost the pay for nearly 147,000 personal support workers across the province.
Premier Doug Ford made the announcement on Thursday, while warning “some of the toughest days lie ahead” as the second wave begins to grip the province.
