Near north school board looking at 2021 deficit

The Near North District School Board running into the red as it nears the end of the fiscal year. It’s all due to a decline in enrolment of about 250 students, expenses related to COVID-19, and expenses such as snow removal at one of its schools. Board members have been informed as the deficit could be as high as $1.5-million.
